My Favorite Picture Thus Far
I first used this picture for my 2nd assignment. This was my picture under the rule of thirds, as you can tell my picture is essentially split into three areas. 1 for the porch and table, 1 for the umbrella, and 1 for the background greenery, mountains, and skies. The only thing that I don't like about this picture is the white house in the mid-ground. I feel that if that were taken out and perhaps replaced with an ocean view the picture would be perfect. Also there are compositional lines all over the patio, tables and chairs. The greenery in the background also act as an artificial horizon line. I think the color coordination is also very nice, but I don't like how the picture draws your eyes to the white.

Framing, Lighting and Rule of Thirds!
This is an example of framing. This picture was actually taken from inside my house. I really like this picture because the mirror has it's own swirl-ish design, but you can see how it kind of frames the ship. Also on the side not you can me in the mirror to the right of the chair.
This picture I feel is a nice picture of lighting. You can see how the soft light goes onto the pillow on the right and how the shadows are cast.
This is my picture for rule of thirds. I think this picture is amazing. The mountains create a sort of horizon line and take up the bottom third portion of the picture. While the majestic skies with the nice forms of the clouds take up the other two-thirds.
Compositional Lines
For my photo assignment one of the things we had to do was take picture that had compositional lines. That is lines that essentially lead somewhere. For example the second picture is taken at my high school. And the numbers counting down from 77 lead far away to the empty space.
